Fallen Hearts Cover & Excerpt

coverremake_half

Most humans live in blissful ignorance of the supernatural, unable to see what they don’t believe exists. Such used to be the lot of Stephan Forrester, a normal mortal leading a regular life, at least until the day vampires abducted him. With his family murdered in the attack, Stephan finds himself alone and dying of an obscure, incurable illness contracted in the vampires’ lair.

Using what time he has left to seek justice, Stephan sets out to eliminate the offenders until only one remains. However, locating this final target means doing something he doesn’t think possible—actually working with a vampire.

Entombed against her will and forced to hibernate for seventy years, Maddox only awakens when a mortal with a vendetta frees her from the grave. He needs help locating the same vampire who buried her alive, and ironically, she senses a connection to her human savior in the form of a blood link. But Stephan’s intense hatred for vampires makes honoring that link impossible.

Even so, Maddox is unlike any vampire Stephan’s ever encountered. As charming and intelligent as she is beautiful, she reminds him of what it means to actually live, mending his wounded heart. In turn, Maddox finds it hard to separate from Stephan, or resist the passionate responses he elicits, and their unexpected bond strengthens as time goes on.

But time is the one luxury Stephan doesn’t have, and saving him from his illness could prove fatal to them both.

So, I’d released a cover for Fallen Hearts earlier this year, but as it turns out, I decided to update all of my published book covers, and this one is no different (click the image above to read an excerpt :D). Still no release date yet, but I do have an estimate, which is sometime in October, if not sooner depending on my progress!

Fallen Hearts is also going to be the first book I don’t publish to Kindle first! Instead, I’m going through smashwords with this one, so it *will* be available on Kindle, but also at Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Kobo, among other places!

Cheers! :D

Strange Brew Cover Update – and I’m on Twitter!

coverremake_half
Well, Strange Brew has finally joined the march of updated book covers! This means I’m free to finally (and fully) focus on Fallen Hearts from both a writing and designing perspective (not that I haven’t been writing just as much as before lol!). Also, Strange Brew will be available for pre-order on Smashwords on July 27th! Release date is TBA, but it will be sometime after August 21st! :)

With this said, I have a few more announcements to make, mostly being that I’ve finally opened a twitter account, which is probably long overdue. But…well, twitter scares me lol! Still, I added that nifty little widget to the side bar so you guys can see my tweets from here, oh my!

Lastly, I don’t think I ever provided a link to my Smashwords profile, but here it is in case any of you were curious!

Cheers! :)

Blue Moon Cover Update

This may have come out of the blue–no pun intended?–but Blue Moon’s gone and had a cover update!

bluemooncover_half

For those who’ve already purchased the book, the changes should be available on Amazon as soon as they finish reviewing it! Light of Dawn and Strange Brew will also be seeing such updates somewhere down the road, though I’m not in a hurry at present! :)

Lastly, for all those who may be wondering, photo credit (which is included on the book’s copyright page with the update) goes to The Killion Group, Inc. and their wonderful website www.HOTDAMNstock.com! It’s a handy service for authors on a budget! :D

Cheers! :D

The Crucible Book Four: Fallen Hearts

So!  As it turns out, I actually finished the cover for my fourth book a little early, and in light of that development, I thought I would go ahead and make the official announcement:  Fallen Hearts is the next book in The Crucible Series!  :)

As always, I may end up tweaking a few things here or there before the book’s release because, again, I’m still pretty early on into writing.  So I thought it was a good idea to mention that this won’t exactly be available in the realm of soon.  But it’s coming, oh yes!  :D

There’s also no excerpts to share yet, but I’ll get to it as soon as I have something decidedly delectable to provide!

I hope everyone’s having a great Memorial Day Weekend!  Cheers!  :D

Strange Brew Book Cover & Excerpt

As promised, I was almost done with the book cover for Strange Brew, and now it’s here! :) Along with it, I’m posting a (decidedly) long excerpt from the story, oh my! So, just in case you missed the synopsis of this book, it can be found here, and as always, this story is a work in progress, meaning the excerpt is very subject to change as I edit! There may be a few spelling/grammar errors present, but I’ve tried to make sure this tidbit is as “clean” as possible! :)

Strange Brew Excerpt & Book Cover

Just wanted to check in to say that because Strange Brew’s cover is so close to completion, I’m going to be posting it soon and with it, an excerpt from the story. I’m still not entirely certain when I’ll be able to give it the finishing touches, but I can say that it won’t be too much longer! :D

As a side note, the terminology page is coming along, I’m just trying to go through it with a fine tooth comb and make sure it’s up to spec. The hardest thing to do is make sure I’m not forgetting anything, but if I do, I can always edit it later to add whatever definition I’ve forgotten.

In either case, that’s all I really have to say at the moment. So much for content, right? But here’s to checking in and I hope everyone’s having a great day!

Cheers! :D

A Quick Update

I wanted to apologize for getting so quiet around here! I’d made some posts about getting Blue Moon out in paperback, then posted up an excerpt from Light of Dawn, and kind of went MIA afterward. Sadly, the messy truth is that my personal life is going through some pretty big upheavals right now, making it hard to focus on certain things.

So I’ve kind of been forced into letting blog updates go for just a while so that Light of Dawn still gets as much attention as I can possibly give it. I want it to get done sooner rather than later after all without compromising any of part of the story. But the changes going on have somewhat sapped my energy, and I don’t feel as capable of “spreading myself out” as I normally do. So I figured letting go of making constant updates here (which I’ve been a little inconsistent at doing anyway) would help me to give more time to the writing project itself, and that’s why I’ve been so silent.

I’ve also decided to delay putting Blue Moon out in paperback until some things settle in my personal life. So we won’t be seeing that for a little while longer when I don’t feel as if I can actually focus on the process without overlooking something that I shouldn’t.

I’m going to try to get Light of Dawn out by the end of the year. Much of the story is in final draft mode, though it might take just a little longer than that. Still, I am going to post the cover up pretty soon, which only needs a few tweaks here and there that I can probably accomplish in about 30 minutes when I put my mind to it! :) So be on the lookout!

Once again, thanks everyone for your support! It means so very much!

Cheers! :D

New Pages and Light of Dawn Book Cover

I’ve been on and off of wordpress for a while now, making adjustments to my pages. I’m not quite done yet, but I’m getting there, and I’ve added a new one–the Books page! Not that it’s anything you guys haven’t seen before, just a place for me to list my stories as they come up, but hey, it needed to be done, and now I’ve done it!

The other thing I’ve been doing all day long is working on Light of Dawn–not just the story, mind you, but the book cover as well (which might I say is coming along swimmingly, though with too many options for me to easily make up my mind about it). So while I was on that topic, I thought I’d mention something for authors (specifically of romance–sorry everyone else!) who have trouble making book covers for their stories.
