Tempting Eternity is Now Available!

Tempting Eternity is now available at the following retailers:

Synopsis: As one of the first vampires created by the original five thousand years ago, time has taken it’s toll on Mathias, weathering him until nothing seems like a surprise anymore. But even he isn’t prepared for a chance encounter with a fae who proves to have a lover’s blood link.

For a vampire, such a connection is a fevered, hopeless fantasy. None have blood as sweetly enticing as the fae, but they’d never survive the turning, making it imperative to resist Isadora’s charms, otherwise put her very life at risk.

Yet distancing himself from the beguiling fae isn’t so easy.

Nearly killed by one of her own sisters, the last thing Isadora expects to hear is that a vampire saved her life while she was vulnerable—no being poses more of a lethal threat to the fae. Even more troubling is knowing she’ll have to seek his help to have any hope of saving her fae sisters from the control of a powerful witch.

But though the ancient vampire should be feared, Isadora finds Mathias compelling, pricking her innate curiosity in a way she’s never experienced. Ignoring such intrigue is impossible, and the more she learns, the more quickly her feelings turn into heavy attraction, tempting her to do the impossible—spend eternity with a vampire.

Fae & Witches – The Crucible Paranormal Romance Series

So, as promised, here’s the post for the Fae and Witches! :)

fae2

I had a lot of fun with developing this one! I’ve always loved the idea that there are these magical beings roaming the woods and other natural areas that protect it and even foster it. I like to imagine them as being both beautiful, and terrible if they’re threatened or otherwise provoked. The fae are all female–life givers–and there are various types with different abilities based on the landscape that engendered them. In the series to date, we’ve only encountered two types, the green fae and sun fae, but rest assured, we’ll be seeing more of them as time goes on! :)

witches2

One of my most favoritest (I know, not a word, but I BREAK RULES lol) supernatural beings are witches. I based a lot of the development on them in my series on actual occult and pagan practices utilized in the real world, but perhaps added a few “flourishes” here and there. There’s magic in nature, after all, whether you’d like to think of that magic as being something as physical as a sunrise, or more intangible such as one of nature’s many mysteries, and that’s where these practitioners draw their strength. For this reason, witches/warlocks aren’t actually a race of beings, so to speak. Some humans are born with an inherent connection to the energies of the world around them, but anyone can pick up the practice of “The Craft” and start casting spells.

The success of these spells simply depends on the practitioner’s knowledge and skill. :D

So that’s it for this post. Check in next time when we find out what happens when a vampire goes to the dentist, and whether or not werewolves visit doctors or vets! LoL :P

Cheers! :D

Strange Brew Cover Update – and I’m on Twitter!

coverremake_half
Well, Strange Brew has finally joined the march of updated book covers! This means I’m free to finally (and fully) focus on Fallen Hearts from both a writing and designing perspective (not that I haven’t been writing just as much as before lol!). Also, Strange Brew will be available for pre-order on Smashwords on July 27th! Release date is TBA, but it will be sometime after August 21st! :)

With this said, I have a few more announcements to make, mostly being that I’ve finally opened a twitter account, which is probably long overdue. But…well, twitter scares me lol! Still, I added that nifty little widget to the side bar so you guys can see my tweets from here, oh my!

Lastly, I don’t think I ever provided a link to my Smashwords profile, but here it is in case any of you were curious!

Cheers! :)

Strange Brew Now Available!

coverremake_half

Feeling out of touch with her magical gifts, Aislinn Carmichael is a witch seeking a means of restoring her ability to its fullest potential. Despite the warnings of family and friends, the endeavor inevitably drives her to accept the initiation trial of a witch coven called The Trine.

Their test demands the capture of a supernatural creature, a task Aislinn has little doubt she can accomplish with relative ease. But of all the potentially benign creatures she could’ve snared, none other than a feral werewolf stumbles into her trap. Making matters worse is The Trine’s intentions for her dangerous captive, forcing Aislinn to release him and potentially risk retaliation.

But vengeance is the farthest thing from the werewolf’s mind.

Troy Ashland is a werewolf standing at death’s door, slowly losing his humanity until there’s nothing left but savage instincts. It’s a process all werewolves face, and the only thing that can appease his restless beast is his mate. So when word arrives from an oracle saying to travel to the Southern US to find her, he’s on the next flight out.

After his arrival in Arkin City, the last thing Troy expects is to be caught in a magical trap. But all is forgiven with one glimpse of his temporary jailor, who turns out to be the very woman he was searching for. Still, the task of winning her is surprisingly difficult. Not only is Aislinn inexplicably resisting their attraction, but The Trine won’t leave well enough alone …

A Quick Update

It took Amazon a lot longer to get up the preorder than it normally takes them, but Strange Brew is finally up for those who are interested! I apologize for not editing the last post sooner, but I didn’t expect them to take so long lol! :)

Something else I haven’t mentioned (mostly because it hasn’t seemed like a completely “big deal”) is that I’ve upped the language in Strange Brew just a slight bit. I wouldn’t call it a drastic “upping” by far, but I’m going to continue on this route in future books, and wanted to make a quick note of it while I had the chance.

In any case, Strange Brew will be published on Friday, and I hope you guys enjoy it!

Cheers! :D

Happy Halloween – Strange Brew Preorder and Book Sale

Hey guys! As you all know, I’ve been diligently working to complete Strange Brew, and the time has finally come at last–because it’s so close to one of my favorite holidays, I’ve decided to give it a Halloween release! So, Strange Brew will be available on Amazon Kindle (within the next day) for preorder with a release date set for October 31st (this Friday)!

Because it’s still in review, it’ll take me just a bit to add a link to the preorder page, and I’ll be making a separate post announcing it’s publication as well.

But wait, there’s more! (I’m full of news today it seems lol) With multiple reasons to celebrate, including the ability to dress up and spook your friends and family, I’ve also decided to have a book sale! So on Halloween, with Strange Brew’s release, both Blue Moon and Light of Dawn will be only .99 cents! This sale lasts all day long, and it’s my way of saying both “Thanks so much!” and “Happy Halloween!”

So there you have it! Again, I’ll come back to edit this post with a link to the preorder page as soon as I get one, and I hope you guys have a crazy fun and scary holiday!

Cheers! :D

Happy October! (Strange Brew Updates)

Hi guys! Just wanted to drop in to wish everyone a happy October, and of course, Happy Halloween! This is one of the best months! :)

With that said, I have a few updates on Strange Brew to pass along! So! Anyone who’s been looking forward to the third book in The Crucible series will be happy to hear that it’s roughly 95% done. In fact, I’m hoping to have a Halloween release! This being said, I’d put it up for preorder on Halloween, but because there’s always the chance of unforeseen issues arising, I’m not entirely certain I’ll be doing that.

In any case, I have a very short tidbit from the story to share with you, and I hope you enjoy it! (And remember, the book isn’t done, so some things may be subject to change!) Continue reading “Happy October! (Strange Brew Updates)”

Strange Brew Book Cover & Excerpt

As promised, I was almost done with the book cover for Strange Brew, and now it’s here! :) Along with it, I’m posting a (decidedly) long excerpt from the story, oh my! So, just in case you missed the synopsis of this book, it can be found here, and as always, this story is a work in progress, meaning the excerpt is very subject to change as I edit! There may be a few spelling/grammar errors present, but I’ve tried to make sure this tidbit is as “clean” as possible! :)

Strange Brew Excerpt & Book Cover

Just wanted to check in to say that because Strange Brew’s cover is so close to completion, I’m going to be posting it soon and with it, an excerpt from the story. I’m still not entirely certain when I’ll be able to give it the finishing touches, but I can say that it won’t be too much longer! :D

As a side note, the terminology page is coming along, I’m just trying to go through it with a fine tooth comb and make sure it’s up to spec. The hardest thing to do is make sure I’m not forgetting anything, but if I do, I can always edit it later to add whatever definition I’ve forgotten.

In either case, that’s all I really have to say at the moment. So much for content, right? But here’s to checking in and I hope everyone’s having a great day!

Cheers! :D
